It's true. Ana White, genius DIY furniture guru, has some community members over at her website who clearly have some skills. The plans for this project were created by user Jrsmrs and posted by Ana, and we very nearly jumped for joy when we saw it. Not only is it super affordable and fairly straightforward to make, the original West Elm daybed is no longer available.

I just looked at the plans, and they seem really complicated! It looks like it would take a ton of time and patience. Plus, it does not give any dimensions or instructions for putting in the lattice work onthe back. In sum, although it comesout looking great, I'm not sure amny people would have the patience and math skills required of this DIY.
