Make Your Own Faux Zinc Letters

Alphabet letters are a hit when it comes to children's decor. I really like the zinc and other metal decorative letters I've seen at various stores but if you're trying to spell out a long word or name, it can get pretty pricey.

If you like the look but can't justify shelling out the money, check out this DIY version we spotted at 346 Living. For a little over $3 per letter, you can achieve the same look. Ok, so the letters in this DIY project aren't made of metal. It's the cardboard version you see at craft stores. That coupled with some good metallic spray paint and voila. In fact, we're thinking something like this may be even better than the zinc version for hanging on walls. These are lightweight and wouldn't cause any injury to kids if one were to accidentally fall. Check out detailed instructions and photos over at 346 Living.
