While this may not be the first time we've seen the flattening of light fixtures around the home, Korean-based DMO design group has their own take on the graphic icon-inspired lamp. Not only does in come in a candy-like assortment of colors, sizes, and patterns, but its simple attractive no-frills and space conscious style may just be the right lighting piece you need to complete your room...

Since the lamp is literally flat by design, regular bulbs won't be flying anywhere near this lamp. Instead, the designers have chosen to use LED lights, hidden into a two dimensional plane to emulate the look of a true standing lamp. And because it's flat, you also are required to lean it against something (like a wall) for an elegant angled look.

No word on price yet, but we'll keep an eye out for parties interested in purchasing the DMO Flat Light.
