Q: I'm so tempted to purchase this couch off of Craigslist because I haven't been able to find a similar couch in this style for this price anywhere else. I'm not big on the pink, but I definitely don't have money to reupholster it, so I'm hoping it will grow on me. The bones seem to be in good condition and it's the exact shape I've been searching for.
My first question is, obviously, is: is it worth it to spend $300 on a vintage couch that will inevitably need cosmetic work done, when I know I can't afford that anytime soon? What could I do to tone down the vintage pinky color in the meantime? What other furniture could I pair it with? I'm going for a rustic boho chic sort of vibe. $300 is already a huge expense for me, but I'm so determined to make this work and owning a couch like this is a dream of mine. It might make for a good project someday when I actually have the money, too.
Should I go for the pink wonder — or just stick it out and search for something that I absolutely love (and sit on the floor until I do)? Help!
