The crib-to-daybed is beautiful, but hardly a "daybed" for anybody other than a toddler.
I was thinking the same thing POPSICLE.
I worked in an art studio located in a 1920's built wood home. My boss found an old crib painted it black and made a "day bed" more of a couch. lots of pillows and bold colors. She did actually curl up and take a nap. I have also curled up in my punks toddler bed and "napped" while they played. Its doable for a 5'3" person. Otherwise it makes a cute seating and emergency nap time. If I remember correctly the side was dropped and the "bed/seating" was on the highest setting. It was a bit tall for me but very comfy. It might have been the back of the bedding I am remembering or the bars set between the wall?? Also made a great spot to put extra boxes when we ran out of floor space.
the last bench is AMAZING!!!!
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the mattress frame. Mine is metal but is calling out for a recycle job!
I was able to make some toy storage out of the drawer underneath.

I think it's a sweet idea to repurpose a crib especially if it is nice in style and was used for a long time in a family. Having said that I will most likely just sell mine on Craigslist so someone else can use it, but I do like this idea.
I have a Jenny Lind drop-side that cannot sell; saving that last bench one for reference. I do love the style very much of the JL, even asking my husband for him to hack it and turn it into a twin for our preschooler somehow.
What is the wall color. Love it
