Do You Care About Product Warranties?

More often than not when we think about product warranties, we're usually talking about some sort of small appliance, but what about when it comes to your bathroom and kitchen hardware purchases? Most faucet and shower head companies back their product for 10+ years down the line — Do you bother to keep track?

We were reading the other day over at The Consumerist about how a reader's O-Ring had gone bad in their 10 year old Moen faucet. They called the company and were told that because it was still under their lifetime warranty, a brand new faucet would be shipped out to them. They received their replacement faucet in a few days and were good to go.

In our own home we manage to keep booklets, receipts and sometimes even packing for a few items, but usually they're ones that push our pocketbooks slightly and we're looking to get our moneys worth out of things, just in case something happens. But were pretty positive we never thought about fixture warranties before!

Do you keep track of such things in your own home? It's a great selling point when putting your home on the market, not just that they're all new fixtures, but that they're covered for X-Amount of years to come. Is it worth your time to keep a log of hardware particulars? Let us know your thoughts below!
