If you can believe everything you see on TV, then Mac users must think PC users are all boring accountants who are constantly victims to viruses and PC users think Mac users are all vapid and shallow people who care more about image than about power and quality. The war between PC and Mac for home computer domination is hyped up so much, you think you'd be disgusted to see a PC-faithful and a Mac-fiend that actually get along...
But the reality is that we all have different tastes and someday, somewhere a PC- and a Mac-head might fall in love and get married ...and it might even have already happened to you! When you moved in with your other-minded significant other, did you decide to commit to one machine or does your desk look like the one above—a perfect match of Mac and PC?
Or if you haven't yet made the move to co-habitation with your honey, how does the PC-Mac divide play into your relationship? Do you find yourself getting familiar with the alien OS because it's the only one available when you crash at your S.O.'s place?

I am a Mac and my husband is a PC. We have an ongoing battle as to who actually has the better piece of equipment and are constantly joking with each other about it. We are always looking for opportunities to one up each other with features. For the most part our computers are comparable. It is just a fun game to play.
We are a Mac couple with a PC laptop on the side (it was just really cheap for wireless in-house basic computing).
I use my desktop PC as a media server and my Macbook to do my mobile computing. Been working out pretty great, especially with Dropbox and everything..
We are Mac users, but my fiance had to get a PC to use for some of his computer classes. It sucks, but it serves its purpose.
I use both at work for different tasks.
I have a PC at home and a Linux based mini laptop and I will be getting a Mac destop next year simply to get more practice for work at home.
You can do everything on a PC and I like the freedom you have on PC's to be creative and create programs suitable to your needs. Apple is good but they are a monopoly and severly limit what software you can use.
Plus I just like knowing how to use every type of computer so while I favour PC I do love having all 3 systems.
I've got a Pentium 4 PC for seti@home and folding@home crunching, but have a number of Macs that I use for everyday machines. My girlfriend has a Powerbook as well.
With regards to the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads, Microsoft's ad agency has twisted the original commercials to make PEOPLE "Macs" and "PCs", when in reality, the two actors are meant to REPRESENT computers. Pretty savvy on their part...
no 'we', but i have to use a dell laptop for work while i've been using macs for 9 years of personal use. i can't stand the PC.
pc at work. mac laptop & hackintosh (mac OSX loaded on non-mac hardware) media server at home runnin Plex. each has there own function, and do it well. although i would trade my pc at work for a mac if i could. i just like macs better. i would highly recommend checking out os86project.org if you are interested in building your own mac from scratch. a fun project, good learning experience, and a whole lot cheaper. if you like to tinker with computers, its a fun project.
Two macs in my home. New iMac for everyday use and a Mac Book that only gets used when I am on the go. I also have a 5 year old Gateway laptop that has found its way into my 7 year olds room as "his" computer. Is it weird that I actually feel a bit guilty for not letting him use my hibernating Mac Book??? I promise I am not an apple fanboy, but a party of me feels a bit guilty for making him be the only PC user in the house....
I have been a Linux user for over 14 years. My better half is a PC user. It is nasty, slow, ugly and disease prone. She deserves better but won't use anything else. Fortunately for me she is fond of ugly, slightly useless things around the house!
we used to have two separate workstations in our dining room (which was split smack down the middle). pc for my husband (a designer. go figure?!?!) and a mac for (the administrator). that was over five years ago and the entire house has now made the switch and there is no pc in site. we are thinking about getting one of those little dell mini's and hacking to run mac os on it though...
I'm a PC *and* a Mac. I recently switched to a Mac at home but have to use a PC at work. I also have my 'ol faithful Thinkpad at home so technically, I'm not a PC-hater. Mac definitely has its advantages and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new computer. It will definitely be the computer of choice for my kids in the future.
Hello, I'm a Mac, and I married a PC !
So far, we go along great. We used to do serious work on my Mac, and play on the PC. Now that all games (at least all the games I play) are released for both platforms, we can both play at the same time.
Consequently, my husband begins to change. He has a mac keybord, and a Mac screen. He just changes Window's appearance to mimick a Finder. I think he's afraid to admit that he want to go all-mac at home, because I would win the Mac vs PC war that raged for years in our home.
I know that the cliche of the Mac adds aren't true, but hey, I used to be an accountant, and guess what my company forced me to use... the PC-Lotus Notes-badly developped accounting program- combo.
I have 5 PCs.
I do have a Mac G3 in the basement, gathering dust.
Never found a particle use for it.
