When I was 19 I decided I should move to Alaska from the central Midwest (you can read about it here). Although that part of my life is behind me the natural beauty that the state held still calls to me. It's almost undescribable how intoxicating and painfully beautiful the mountains and cool air can be. So we're curious, do you have a vacation location that still calls out to you to visit?
Although the central Midwest has it's own appeal (though we're trying our best to find it through the recent increase in temperature and humidity) when we steal a moment to ourselves there's nothing more relaxing than the thought of watching the clouds move in and out of the mountain tops or how clear the air was. The waters felt cleaner, the sky more blue, it was like the land was electric.
We don't miss the state because of it's crazy entertainment or amazing theme parks, but for the natural beauty through and through. It's a land where people recreated and enjoyed the soil in which they live no matter the temperature or weather!
Do you have a vacation location that still calls you back (even if money doesn't allow!)? Maybe a honeymoon spot or a place you backpacked in your youth? Let us know below!
