We almost always try and take a copy of the menu when we eat out at fancy restaurants — it's a perfect memento of an evening that can be a bit hazy if there was more than one glass of wine involved. So why not do the same at dinner parties?
Even a hastily handwritten menu has a certain rustic chef-just-came-up-with-this-on-the-fly charm, whether or not the meal was actually months in the planning. It's an equally nice to souvenir give to guests or to keep and display if you've hosted a particularly memorable fête. Do you keep menus from dinner parties past?
