They say happiness is perception. A Harris Interactive poll surveyed 2,000 adults and found that Dallas/Fort Worth had the most residents that self-identified as "very happy," 38%. The 10th happiest, San Francisco, had 28% respond with "very happy." A separate survey by Harris finds that 33% of all Americans say they're "very happy," with 67% responding they're "optimistic about the future."
