Picture this: I've left my humble digs and driven 7 and a half minutes to my local gym. Just as I pull into the parking spot, I realize that although I've got my workout clothes, a towel and a bottle of water, I left my iPod Nano at home. Now, to me, working out is just not bearable without my earbuds in. So did I drive an extra 15 minutes (round trip) to grab my little workout buddy back at home?
Yes, yes I did.
Spare me the lectures about the energy I wasted. When I'm about to spend an hour or more running towards a never-approaching wall, I need to have the Pussycat Dolls alongside me.
I have friends who would do the same last-minute turn-around to grab their cell phone because they need to catch every text message and not miss a thing while they're busy pumping iron.
