After buying our new iPhone 4S, we were faced again with a dilemma that plagues tech lovers each time they make a big purchase: go for a slim case that shows off the sleek lines of our new device? Or protect this gorgeous but expensive piece with heavy-duty case armor?
It's a tough choice, to be sure. On one hand, you want to protect your new gear with a super-covering protective case. It's the best choice for the longevity of your device, protecting it from dents and scratches (and broken screens!), and preserving its resale value down the line.
But on the other hand, you didn't spend last week's paycheck on the latest, greatest and slimmest phone to cover it up with a bulky coat of rubber and plastic. Going with a slim case (or no case at all) keeps the aesthetic pure and clean, but also means your device is more vulnerable to scratches and being broken.
We want to hear what you tend to go for when choosing a case for a new device. Do you stay sleek and slim and try to keep a good grip on your gear? Or do you like the security of a more protective case? Are you more likely to opt for a bulkier case if you're getting something out of it, near-field battery charging or, well, balls? Tell us in the comments!
