Do You Print Your Own Art?

A good friend is moving away from the city and, in a gesture usually reserved for the dead and dying, is giving away all of her life's urban frills. We were the lucky beneficiary of a set of mismatched modern black picture frames. But without an upcoming art show or a stack of "to frame" prints lying around, we're considering making our own digital artwork at home. Have you ever DIY'ed your own art?

We've got some graphic design know-how and we're confident that we can whip up some cool,city-inspired prints to fit our taste. But even if you're not handy with a cursor, creating your own art is only a laser printer away with Creative-Commons-licensed images at your disposal.

And even if you don't want to (or can't) go the at-home-printing route, you can still take your own designs or photos and get them professionally printed to make your apartment unique.

(Just check out Sonia's reviews of Canvas Pop's Digital Photo Print Service and Collage Wall.)

So readers, we want to know: Do you have DIY artwork in your apartment? Are you tackling a project right now? Do you need tips and advice to get started? Let us know in the comments!
