There is no question about it, shopping on Craigslist, eBay and Goodwill for fabulous finds for the home is an art form. It takes time, patience and the right keywords to find the deals and the one-of-a-kind pieces that make your home stand out. If online scavenging is a hobby of yours, then no doubt about it at least one of your friends has asked you "how DO you do it?" But are you telling?
A few years back, Jonathan Adler shared his favorite keyword searches from eBay surely spiking the demand for those specific brands and styles. Some of the AT readers even commented (and I have to agree) that they were surprised he would give away his shopping secrets!
I have found myself slightly reserved in the past when friends have asked for in depth details into how I've found an item on Craigslist or eBay. Second-hand online shopping in my family is a trade secret!
What do you think: would you, or do you share your online scavenging secrets?
