There's always two things that go missing in our house: one of a pair of matching socks and the USB sync and charge cable for the iPad. The always missing cable situation is due to the fact my better half and I steal the shared iPad from one another (her for reruns of Mad Men, me, The Wire), and inexplicably, the charger cable goes AWOL in the process. What we need is our own color coded sets!

Apple accessory specialist Incase offers two different flavors of sync and charge cables: one is a 10' model, a good length if you're a bedside reader who likes to keep plugged in while using your tablet. Then there's also the much shorter 6" cable, available in 3 bright colors, making it easy to designate when you share/fight over a shared iPad.

The other sync cable solution we're curious about is the inbetween length CableJive xlSync, coming in at a room-crossing 6.5 feet length. A useful distance if the wall charger is located far from where you use/station your iPad when recharging, but possibly a concern in our household where our cats think every cable, cord, rope and wire is their very own cat toy!
