This brings a new meaning to curb your dog: part of Richard Jackson's "Ain't Painting a Pain" exhibit at the Orange County Museum of Art, a large fiberglass labrador relieves himself on ugly buildings. The artist rigged yellow paint through a hose in the pup's abdomen to continuously "pee" on the facade.

In a way, this is a cute idea, but I find the continuous stream of yellow "pee" really crass. There's enough actual pee in the world already. Wake up and smell the urine.
sorry but this is just tacky.. this is right up there with a room filled with 'jarred' farts.
Very classy.
I just went to see this exhibit last Saturday...something about all those violent paint splatters gave me the creeps!
This is all very strange. Is this an agreement by the OCMA that their building is in fact hideous? How bizarre. I can't decide which is worse: the architecture or the executive function abilities of the dog artist and those who agreed to its installation. Yes, bad architecture is...unfortunate. Is that building bad architecture? Or do we just automatically accept that it is.
But these kinds of .... gimmicks truly undermine the physical structure of a community. It reminds me of how many people automatically think a mural is better than a beautiful brick wall. Or animal sculptures enhance a city's sense of place. They do not necessarily do so. This is immature art at best.
