We are always on the lookout for little ways to save money, and regularly share clever tricks and methods to make do with less. All that is well and good, but I keep returning to this one basic way to keep to your budget....

It's simple. Take care of what you already have. This is something I've struggled with over the years (I'm not great at ongoing maintenance), but is, without a doubt, the best way to buy less, and make things last longer, look better and function smoother.
