We always loved dollhouses--specifically the tiny furniture that you could painstakingly select for each room! Check out these mini modern pods and the hip furniture that can go in them!
Not only is this a miniature dollhouse, but it is a house made from a miniature storage pod! Tapping in to one of the housing trends of the last few years, these custom M112 PODS from Paris Renfroe take dollhouses in a modern and progressive direction! Complete with Baltic birch interior wood, frosted windows, and a port hole in the floor and ceiling for stacking and roof access, you can also furnish these with the top design pieces. Check out tons more images and information on If It's Hip, It's Here.

I <3 these!
fantastic post to be followed by re nests living with less.
I like it, but I can't help but think that it's the designista equivalent of the redneck with a collection of detailed model cars that he keeps because he'll never afford a real Ferrari.
ROFL!@BANDWAGON
Or how about an Arne Jacobsen's house complete with egg and swan chairs? Looks pretty cool: http://minimii.com/en/
It's only be a sad hobby if the furniture in the dollhouse is actually BETTER than the furniture in your real house.
In my case, it would be sad.
Yeah, dollhouses are creepy.
Plus, this one looks totally uncomfortable. Where's the firepole and the laser tag room???
If I'm going to make a dollhouse, it's going to be some fantastic vision of things I've always wanted in a home but would be completely ridiculous to have (zip line).
Having a dollhouse of a house you kind of want to have with semi-uncomfortable furniture, jeeez, I'm practically falling asleep just while typing thissssszzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
After I took a look at this guy's other work, there's more than just dollhouses. He's got some pretty cool design pieces in full scale that are pretty cool, and very functional. I personally think that his dollhouse designs(especially when combined in multiples)offer a refreshing change from the old traditional, cumbersome dollhouses of age!
It seems like the people behind this beautiful Arne Jacobsen Dollhouse has finally put the house up for sale on their website minimii dot com. + a smaller wallhanging cool looking bookcase like version. Both comes with a VIP VIP package of furniture, accessories and even an option to personalize your own front door sign! Check it out for yourself even if you are not really into dollhouses.
