While painting a friend's office, someone made the comment, "gray is the new builder beige." We all laughed, but I left and decided to paint this guest room gray, and then the ceiling in the master bedroom gray, and then the living room in another space gray as well. The light gray is so versatile!
Colors used in my room:
The light gray wall provided the back drop for the huge teal headboard. White bedding with yellow accent pillows and accessories made the space bright and cheerful, yet still calming. The space is so light and airy that when I walk in I feel a breeze…It’s not just the ceiling fan!
Tips for using color successfully:
I chose an accent piece first and added colors to the design based on that one item. I always keep in mind that the colors do not have to match but only need to complement one another and bring the space together. However, my personality always brings me back to the matchy-matchy and I don't mind!
