The bedroom just was not coming together. All the elements were great but it just wasn't working. Then some peonies came into the picture.
Suddenly with the addition of the perfect shade of pink the light green walls made sense and stopped looking so dour. The crisp white sheets looked lovely and delicate side by side with the soft petals of the arrangement. It was clear the the bright yellow mid century lamp had to go and that the teak nightstands weren't heavy, they were perfect!
Plus having fresh flowers makes us feel special and inspires us to keep the bedroom a little neater so that the bouquet can really take center stage.
Moral of the story: don't forget the flowers, they add texture, color, scent and heart to a room. The change is instant and, in this case, only cost $7 and have lasted a week.
