Make sure to check out one of the prettiest house tours I've seen in awhile over on Apartment Therapy: Robin describes her lovely barn as being "inspired strongly by art and all things vintage." The barn has been a labor of love, and features a few key green building elements, such as deciding to soaking the pine in salt instead of chemicals to weatherproof it, using all the waste scraps to furnish the artist studio and to make the outhouse, and using blown-in cellulose insulation made from recycled newsprint and paper rather than standard fiberglass. Oh, and did we mention there's a chicken coop?
