LA is famous for having some fancy, fancy cars on the road (just the other day, we were behind an Aston Martin, and it goes without saying that we kept a good 10 ft in front of us)...and love it or hate it, but car-status is kind of a big deal, at least for those who care. Like one of our neighbors who installed a clear glass garage door in his house to show off his brand new Beamer.

I love glass garage doors. They come in a variety of glass options, including frosted for some or all of the panes. I like the look of clear glass for the top row and frosted for all the rest, that way you get lots of light but you don't have to keep your garage pristine.
The glass doors in the photo above look great--I have had this daydream for years to take an attached garage and fix it up as a three-season room that I can also park my car in when I'm not using it to enjoy the outdoors. Alternatively, to not have a car at all, and turn the garage into an extra room that I can use for garden parties.
Why wouldn't you have garden parties in your garden?
No, what I mean is, it would be like those pavilions you see in the park, although only open on the one side that faces the garden.

so I have seen this used 2 times in great ways. Number one was in a restaurant that had them on both sides, so when both were open it was like being in a pavillion. And here in the Hamptons were codes are strict I have seen them used with 2 doors also like a pavilion, where setbacks would not allow a pavilion, but on the plan they were called attached garages.Also since your taxes are based on living space, a pavilion is taxed as living space and a garage isn't. Think of this when building!!!!Might help pay for these beauties.
Does anyone know where I would find such a door within the Los Angeles area? I am looking for one for a remodel, I am turning a garage into a pool house.
