I have always enjoyed having vibrant and unexpected pops of color throughout my house. Although I wouldn't consider myself a particularly big fan of pink, I do have one coral/pink leather cocktail sofa in my living room. I love it, and although it is a girly color, it fits right into our "unisex" home. What do you think — would you incorporate a bit of pink into your space?
1. I love this subtle, striped rug from Land of Nod, $99-299. It comes in other colors as well, if you're not ready to take the plunge!
2. For the more timid of the bunch, grab some of these for your desk! "Things to do Around the House" from Knock Knock, available in pink at Anthropologie, $7.50.
3. My favorite of the bunch! The Ibiza Raspberry 23" pillow from Crate & Barrel. On sale for $59.95.
4. For the more daring: try a Slim Blossom End Table from Room & Board, $219.
5. I love the bright colors offered in these KitchenAid mixers. Balance the sweet pink by grinding up some hearty meat! Available at Williams-Sonoma, $349.95.

I love that round end table from Room and Board. But $219!. It looks like something I should be able to get at Ikea for about $30. Too bad.
I am really happy to see this post because I am just contemplating getting some pink tufted wingback chairs for my living room. We just moved into our house and are kind of on a budget so we want to find great deals on unique furniture, and these pink chairs came up. I really like them, but I don't want them to overtake the room. How have you decorated your living room with the pink couch? Thanks for any advice!
Don't know what a cocktail sofa is, but it sounds glamorous ~ especially in pink!
I have the pink Kitchenaid mixer and just ordered the pink Cuisinart coffee maker. I have a lovely, brand new but kinda cookie-cutter kitchen with light wood and laminate and I think the pink makes it a little fun.
A hundred years ago, pink was for boys and blue was for girls. Pink will continue being a "girly" color only as long as you keep insisting it's a girly color.
I have had the pink Kitchenaid mixer for about six years -- no regrets (except for the regret that I can't have the many other Kitchenaid colors I also love). My old kitchen had a lot of pink in the wallpaper and paint. In our new house, the main kitchen color is butter yellow -- yellow paint, yellow wallpaper with red cherries and a bit of green foliage. It's all pretty retro and traditional, and I wanted something to be at least a little surprising, so I painted the ceiling a very pale pink in semigloss. (Picks up the wallpaper's pink cherry blossoms and my holdover pink mixer and mixing bowls.) The ceiling doesn't scream at you, but it's flattering and different and warmer than flat white.
