I recently took a visit back to my hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, for the wedding of a close friend. I took that opportunity to do an extensive canvas of the city to photograph all of my favorite entryways and doors in Beacon Hill, downtown Back Bay, and a quick detour to historic Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
I was floored by the amount of beautiful entryways I came across, most of which I had taken for granted for years, as scenery in my daily walk to work. I had a lot of trouble choosing my favorites, as each gorgeous doorway holds a history unto itself, especially those in the historic neighborhood of Beacon Hill, established in the late 1700s. Take a gander at ten of my favorites, and have fun imagining the stories that live (and have lived) behind the doors.
