Shaw's Original Fir...
I keep looking at these dorm posts for my own apartment inspiration. I barely have $300 now, 8 years out of a cramped, shared dorm.
I don't at all see how that lamp or that rug convey the woodland theme. And you can make your own terrarium for a lot less than $39, although it may not have the neat icosahedron form.
I'm excited to see your dorm posts--even though I haven't lived in a dorm in many, many years, I appreciate the budget design ideas you're showcasing. However, a LOT of the pieces shown are from Urban Outfitters. I get that they make some cute stuff, but I'm boycotting the company (they are major contributors to several extremely conservative causes that, I suspect, would horrify many of their prime customers); even putting politics aside, it would be nice to see some other suggestions for places to get stylish, affordable rugs, curtains, and furniture!
@Splitty: what conservative causes does Urban Outfitters contribute to? And what's your source for this information?
Looks like the new CEO may be a supporter of Rick Santorum.
