You are in the middle of a home or office renovation and already drilling holes for the lights on the walls and ceiling. Why not make them play double duty and perform a double task?

Today, you have options; you not only have light coming out from these units but also sound.
LED's are more and more affordable these days and the marriage of light and sound technology can make this double task, a dream at a home installation.

The Soundolier Duo Wireless Speakers Lamps can be placed anywhere. They will provide reading light and rear surround sound. They come with a 3.5mm audio jack at the base of the lamp for additional connecting options and you can add a subwoofer or additional transmitter. They run around $300 plus $100 for the transmitter.

The German Detoma Duo is cased in a minimalistic aluminum enclosure and it is available as a pendant or wall mounted. They feature a weather resistant anodized exterior and two 35 watt amplifier for a 360 degree omnidirectional sound. The speaker has an aluminum cone. $2700 for the pair.

The double duty Klipsch Light Speakers, that we featured before, screw into ordinary recessed light enclosures and provides a 29 watt amplifier with wireless technology plus 10 watt LED light. You can control the sound and light from a remote base that is included. $599 for the 2 speaker kit.
