It doesn't matter how old we get, we'll still have a place in our hearts for sewing cards. They're perfect for helping children learn while at the same time keeping them quiet - and in our book, that earns any activity an A! All you'll need is a hole punch to get your kids started.
Kate Lilley over at Minieco is the woman behind this craft and we give her a virtual high five for allowing everyone to partake in her designs. You remember her homemade playdoh dyes right? So pretty!
These sewing cards will be best printed on cardstock, though we could see other papers being used if they're laminated. Look for large stubby needles at your local craft store in the quilting section; they're perfect for this activity. Make them up and toss a few in your purse for long train rides or those painful minutes while waiting for a doctor's appointment. They're sure to keep everyone entertained.

Great crafts to do with kids...too fun!

We love lace up cards as well. In fact, I was so inspired by finding these that we opened a shop so we could sell them and other vintage-inspired goods in the same vein.
