The problem with compact laptop sized desks…well, besides being small…is that not only do you give up surface workspace on top, but you're often highly limited in the storage department, a big deal for anyone who relies upon the myriad of tech devices and accessories related to the modern home office. British/Norwegian designer Thomas Jenkins offers a sophisticated and handsome solution: the Slope Desk.
The Slope Desk combines the sloped angled of the traditional drafting desk with the utility of a classic writing desk, with two hinged storage compartments within the table structure. The design accommodates perfectly for a laptop inside a cozy felt-lined interior (appears to fit a smaller MacBook Pro), with the other side suited to hold an external drives, stationery and maybe even a notebook if you still like to write things down. Now if it only offered built-in USB/power options, the Slope Desk could be crowned the perfect small space laptop desk.
The Slope Desk is available made-to-order via Thomas Jenk Studios.

Beautiful! This would've been perfect in my former 500 sq ft apartment.
Perfect! It's such a simple design, it's surprising no one else thought of it.
I love it and the fact that its multi functional is wonderful. The only question that i would have is how seamless is the opening? If it is also a small drafting table then you can't really have a seam to wreck your drawing. But other then that it is beautiful and elegant.
You'd need to put borco down to make it a useful drafting surface - that seam would be a giant pain.
