Curtains add so much to a room and well, that's how I justify spending so much on them. They can blend into the background, serve a strict function only life or they can be the star of the show.
Dramatic curtains don't necessarily have to be the star — they can actually complement the furniture in the room. There are dramatic curtains for just about any style and if you don't find ones in the store — make your own!
No one said we could only buy solid white curtains and not mix things up in a fun and funky way. Get creative and inspired, because after all — dramatic curtains are perfect for everyday use!

Nomade Express Slee...
Those striped curtains in the first photo should be the new, go-to answer for when people write in on how to cover up the double story windows that just came with their new house. We all scratch our heads and try to offer solutions, but the camouflage of those stripes is pretty ingenious! One stripe matches the wall, the other stands out... Not to mention, with a little sewing power, it provides the answer on how to make really tall curtains that won't break the bank - sew two (or more) together!
I would appreciate advice on how to do a window treatment bay windows (extending beyond the exterior of the house with a height of about 36 inches.
Thanks!
The first one is dramatic. The others look pretty normal...
Can anyone tell me where I can buy Black and White curtains like the one's in the first photo. I have been looking everywhere with no luck and can't sew!
Does anyone recognize where the 3rd set of curtains are from? Couldn't find them on the link provided...
@marora44 - Based on the perfect spacing of the stripes (look at how the top, bottom and middle rows fall in coordination with the window spacings) I would guess those black and white curtains are custom. Not to mention their ~20 foot length! I bet someone you know can sew and could help you out - buy one set of white curtains, one black, carefully cut, sew straight lines, voila! You might need to add in some new backing material, but that's about it.
