I saw LOTS of beds at Salone, some beautiful, some crazy, some run of the mill, but what really stood out to me was the distinctive and consistent style in which the beds were dressed. There seems to be a real "Italian style" way to use bedlinens and pillows, so once I noticed it at several booths, I started snapping pics to share … As you can see, the most consistent element to this look is a contrasting throw/blanket which is always included across the bottom of the bed; sometimes all the way across in a rectangular shape, sometimes folded into more of a square and placed on the right...but there is ALWAYS this stripe/block of color.
Other elements of this style: a mix of pillow shapes and sizes (there are rarely just the actual bed pillows), often a monochromatic color story based on tones of the same family of color, a mix of patterns and textures and finally, an embrace of the asymmetrical; the two sides of the bed don't necessarily mirror each other.
Examples shown are from the following booths:

3 & 4. Orme
6. Ingenia Casa
7. Nova Mobili
8. Alf + Da Fre
