011910_tf_dryersheetpc.jpgAh, dust. It's the bane of existence for every techie out there. The good news is that there's a cheap and easy fix for keeping dust out of your PC.

A new PC case with tons of ventilation is a great idea for an old and overheated machine, but more ventilation means more dust—unless you're a clever DIY'er like one Lifehacker reader.

His über-ventilated PC case inspired him to use a dryer sheet as an impromptu PC dust filter.

He removed the sides of the case and taped unfolded dryer sheets over the ventilation holes. The result is a filter that lets air pass through, but traps dust in its tracks. Oh yeah, and it makes your office small like an Irish breeze. Lovely!
