Even though owning a country retreat isn't necessarily the norm for us city-dwellers, we love seeing how people who do have that privilege choose to vary their decorating styles to the two locations (more comparisons after the jump).
Interior designer April Tidey splits her time between urban Vancouver, B.C., and Savary Island on the Sunshine Coast. In addition to gorgeous pictures of both spaces, the Canadian House and Home article also has a couple of Tidey's styling tips, including shopping in person and not refinishing old furniture, opting at times to leave original patinas and upholsteries as-is.
