When we look for ways our existing and future furnishings can serve more than one purpose in the interest of space and economy, the humble doormat usually gets a pass. Turns out we were missing out on hidden potential.
This door mat has notches in it that allow you to bend up a corner and wedge it under the door, for some impromptu door-stopping action. Our worry is that it might look accidental or a little sloppy, but kudos to the idea.

Shaw's Original Fir...
-_-
Kudos for this? ...really?
I'm not digging it.
Really? Are the real door stoppers that expensive/uncool? And using a mat that looks like it has been cut up is better?
I don't get it -
Doormats go outside the door and doors swing inward...
...and screen doors have their own stop tab on the spring-cylinder...
...so I don't see being useful as a doorstop at all.
Just get a rock or a brick.
or a shoe...
Putting the punchline AFTER forcing a clickthrough makes this a particularly bad post. No need to break this one into two.
i'm almost positive no one is going to save their budget by purchasing this in lieu of those wasteful, extravagant single-purpose doormats and door stops.
It's 59 bucks. For that much I can get a nicer one, and a door stop, and lunch. I could maybe even have change left over.
Actually, that was canadian dollars, my mistake. Maybe I wouldn't have so much change left over after all :)
Exactly what I was thinking, idiotdogbrain. FYI, $59 Canadian is $46 US.
I'd suggest this:

They're about $15 (USD). A rock or brick is free. Then you have about $30 to spend on something else!
I'd like to second VLADCOLE's comment. Clicking through for that makes me feel cheap.
i agree with VLADCOLE and jesster! i'm right there with ya.
