The Ecofaebrick (cow dung brick) just won the $25,000 top prize from the University of California at Berkeley's Global Social Venture Competition. The price? About the same you'd pay for an ordinary brick ...

While brick mining is much less harmful on the environment than many other types of mining, there is always room to improve. EcoFaeBrick offers a brick that is 20% lighter, 20% stronger, made of waste, and is the same price as a conventional brick.

What's not to love!

Other facts from the manufacturer:

Do you know that by using EcoFaeBrick you will contribute to the reduction of carbon emission?

We use biogas instead of fire woods in our burning process and it reduces 1,692 ton of CO2 per year. It is equal to changing 269 cars into hybrid cars.

Do you know that by using EcoFaeBrick you will contribute to the preservation of productive land?

By using 75% of processed cattle waste, we are able to preserve 53 hectares of productive agriculture land. The clay excavation usually brings a massive damage to the land.
