Maximizing Space in a Little Loft Studio

In the archives of Dwell, architect Kyu Sung Woo renovated his son Wonbo's Union Square loft taking advantage of natural light and the 12 feet of vertical space — he stacked a minimal loft sleeping platform above the compact kitchen.

The space measures less than 700 square feet and is only 12.5' wide! By compacting the kitchen bathroom and bedroom in a small fraction of the space, the rest of the apartment seems spacious. My favorite element is the metal ladder-like stairs by Lapeyre Stair.

This is very cool, and the article does a good job explaining how the architect figured out the "puzzle" of the space.

Cool place but I don't like the ladder. It also doesn't seem to have been very well planned out considering how many storage containers are stacking in the living room.

Stacked I mean. Me speak English me promise.

This is really an amazing use of the space! I especially like the lucite or glass side so it does not block off and feel solid. great job!!
