It's June. Time for weddings, graduations...and Dwell on Design. Curated by the editors of Dwell magazine, the three-day celebration, which takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 21-23, showcases the best in modern design.
For the admittedly nosy and curious like myself (and those of you who love wandering virtually through our home tours), the house tours, which are open concurrently with the show, offer a chance to check out amazing houses all over Los Angeles. It's something I look foward to all year.
The self-guided home tours are divided up into three parts, which take place over three days. On Saturday, June 14, during the West Side tour, wander through the five homes in Venice and Santa Monica pictured here. On the following, Saturday, June 22, take the opportunity to see how people live on the East Side and Downtown; on Sunday, June 23, drive over the hill and check out the dwellings in the Valley and in the Canyons. And don't forget to schedule in some time to head down to the Convention Center. This is one of the few shows that's focused on homeowners and consumers rather than just the trade.
