The Westside's home tour includes these six houses.

Dwell on Design, the West Coast's largest modern design event, rolls into town at the end of this month, June 26-28. The three day celebration of the latest and greatest in home design includes an exhibition at the LA Convention Center, two design conferences, special events and the always popular self-guided home tours, a chance to peek into some of LA's most awe-inspiring homes...

Along with the exhibition at the LA Convention Center and the house tours (there's one for the east side, another for the west side), there are a number of special events including two conferences: MOBIUS LA: the AIA Los Angeles design conference and the Dwell on Design conference, and an entire day devoted to design and food. Some of the offerings include: on Friday, take in a lecture by best-selling author of A Whole New Mind, Daniel Pink, who kicks off the Dwell on Design conference with a discussion of "The Surprising Science of Motivation and Creativity," then see which of your favorite eateries gets the nod at the 2009 Restaurant Design Awards (LA Weekly restaurant critic Jonathan Gold is one of the jurors!); on Saturday, the Dwell on Design conference continues with a series on sustainability; Saturday night, check out a screening of Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman.
