DWR Classics in Pink

Unlike most folks of the XY chromosome variety, I'm actually quite fond of pink used in moderation in fashion and decor. It's a colour with a bad wrap amongst straight fellas for being effeminate when in reality it's a colour with great potential when partnered with more traditionally stately grays and blacks, whether in the home or with a well-tailored suit. Pink in excess, not so much. But pink isn't always a readily available colour option for modern furnishings, so you out there with an affinity for the colour might want to check out DWR's special promotion of pink special edition chairs from the likes of Emeco, Fritz Hansen, Herman Miller, Knoll and Spinneybeck Leather for a good cause. Details below...

Take a seat for the cure: the Classics Go Pink Auctions. DWR has partnered with Emeco, Fritz Hansen, Herman Miller®, Knoll® and Spinneybeck® Leather to auction five fully licensed, special-edition chairs in pink. The auctions will take place at the end of September, and all proceeds will go to the Komen foundation. Check back the week of September 22 for additional details and to bid.

The Arne Jacobsen's Swan Chair is our favourite of the selection with the Philippe Starck Heritage Rocker a close second, the first being very deliberate and obvious with its use of pink as a statement while the Heritage Rocker dons the colour as a handsome highlight. All the rest of the selection are here and will be available for bidding as noted above.
