AT Chicago is planning for our upcoming year and one of the "resolutions" on our agenda is to get some Design Meetups underway here in Chicago (Maxwell has been holding events monthly in NYC).
The location is set (DWR Tree Studios!) but we want to hear from you on what you'd like to see and hear at these after-work get togethers. No idea will be refused, big or small - brainstorm away! Your input on what you are interested in will help us to shape these evenings into something we'll all enjoy...

Yes! it's like you've been reading my mind - please can we have a design meetup - pretty please? After giving it a lot of thought, i think i'd like ( in no particular order)
1. color palettes, theory, application, how to choose, etc.
2. furniture placement, arrangement
3. high end, low end options for furniture & design
4. design theory (e.g. hey what really is mid century modern?)
5. Organization tips from the expert, yup -maxwell g.
6. local affordable artwork
7. Trends - design, color, furniture
8. Professionals - where to find, how to hire affordable designers, contractors, architects
9. Neighborhood highlights - good design can , and does, live South - but where? spotlight on retail, house tours, designers in different neighborhoods.
