Updated classic. We've been looking for the perfect office chair for the home. It's got to be functional, but we don't want it to look too "officey". Of course, we'd also prefer if it was a bit unique, a bit novel and fresh. Okay, we're picky. Not to give DWR too much credit, but we did spot this one in their new catalog. It's a new version of the classic Eames Aluminum Management Chair, but without the leather or the hopsack.

Designed by Eames in 1958 for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard and recently paired with Herman Miller's Cygnus Mesh (2001), we like the lightness and airiness that it brings to the original. It comes in three colors, costs a pretty penny ($1200), but is on sale right now for 10% off.

Off topic apologies,
