I came across designer Krissy Callahan's line of screen printed pillows, totes, and t-shirts by utter happenstance over the weekend. I was initially drawn in by the colorful prints and then I was completely won over by her organic and recycled materials…
First of all, those screen prints! What is not to love? Telephones, owls, paper airplanes — Krissy's prints are whimsical and colorful and the lady has a way of creating a gorgeous pattern with them. Besides printing a stylish product, Krissy is focused on keeping her creations sustainable and organic. In addition to printing the tote bags herself, Krissy also hand sews them using fabric that is a blend of 80% Ecotec, a blended cotton yarn produced from the excess fabric of newly made clothing, and 20% Bottle Bag material made from 100% recycled soda bottles.
Check out Krissy's website and the Earth Cadets etsy shop for more of her beautiful designs.

such wonderful products and beautiful designs! I totally have a bird decor fetish and definitely want to do an owl theme for a future nursery!!! Would LOVE to add her products to our home! Off to check out her stuff some more!
Love, love, love!!!!
Very nice creations !
Recycled pillows and canvas is just a fantastic initiation! Not just this but the design is really cute, I just bought one on Itchy. Go Krissy! :)
Definetly want that recycled peacock. Really nice designs! I did not realize it was possible to obtain excess fabric - is there some place that sells it or gives it away?
@Emmi - Thank you! I am a big fan of estate sales. I've often found fabulous fabric that's just waiting around to become re-purposed into a pillow.
@Earthcadets great! Thanks for the information - I love doing stuff with fabric and I like the color choices on the products.
Her designs are almost as cute as she is. I love that matryoshka doll print!
