Fall Colors Introduction -------------------------------
Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...
1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide
The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.
2. Voting Phase - you vote till you drop
Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.
Best, Maxwell

Hrrm.... some good starts here, but I think some of the supersaturated colors hurt the spaces. There is no way that white couch in the first 2 photos can compete with that cobalt blue rug. Something a little softer would have balanced things out.
Overal the space feels a little random and un-curated. (thats not to say bad, just not 'there')
i like the shot of the fireplace, tongue and groove walls, teak MCM cabinet... nice!
i love the fact that there is an eames lounge and ottoman but he's choosing to sit in some old recliner:) it's like the episode of frasier when he throws out his dad's old recliner in an attempt to replace it with a more modern looking chair. haha.
love the orange wall.
it just seems a bit random right now. sorry
Hm, somehow this looks like three different places.
In some ways, it's really too much. The orange wall would be great if the rest of that room were white and airy, but it's not, and so it seems...wacky. That's the only word I can think of.
This is a great start. Clearly the owner is not afraid to use color and patterns. But some of the colors and patterns are not harmonious. Also while the furniture adds some color because of bowling alley syndrome placement the furniture doesnt add to the color in a balanced way.
