Location: Manhattan, NY
Type of Home: Studio
What inspired you to use color? The butterfly plates of cb2 started it all and then color just kept flying all over the my little Manhattan studio. I painted my kitchen with green chalkboard paint and put the butterflies all over, they even escaped to the ceiling. Then I got the orange day bed from cb2 and all the color started making sense, then came a yellow recliner with the cb2 Love pillow and a purple Chaise...
Color Tip: Embrace bold colors
Colors Used: peapod green for my chalkboard kitchen paint. I used most of the color in the butterflies
Fall Colors Introduction -------------------------------
Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...
1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide
The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.
2. Voting Phase - you vote till you drop
Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.
Best, Maxwell

I love your little office with the dog house and sweet pup.
not to my liking at all...but that bedroom lamp is spectacular!
"me siento en tiempos de magos"
me too... what a beautiful poem!
Love the bedroom and the poem on the kitchen wall...but where do you keep all your stuff???
love that shade of green
now I want to know what the poem means
I really like your use of color in this space. Without color, your studio would feel quite sterile. As for dining, do you raise your adjustable coffee table?
That bedside lamp is really cool, and I love your bedding. Where is it from?
wow, so does that wall of (what look like) doors enclose the entry ways to the kitchen and bathroom areas or storage areas? or to your bedroom? i'm getting a kick out of the fact that i can't figure it out but am dying to know. i just love that office area of yours and the dog house. so very cute!
Adorable place! The kitchen wall is just toothache sweet...I love it!
I have the butterfly appetizer plates from CB2 as well and was trying to figure out how to hang them on the wall as you did. How did you do that?
This is truly beautiful. But it doesn't seem like anybody real lives there. (Or maybe I'm just jealous because I could never in a million years keep anything that pristine?)
MUY LINDO !!!
lleno de encanto
colores brillantes compondo un ambiente tranquilo
eso es magica
So nice! What I love is that this is totally not my style at all, but I still love it! I like that your dog house got in on the green act!
i like the glossy white doors & floor.
I love the crisp white dresser, white potted cacti and television vignette. I would love to have that in my sight while watching television. What fun adventurous livingroom furniture.
it's like a treehouse.
Oh goodness, this is beautiful!!
Fantastic! Great job.
It's like Sartre's "No Exit". It's freaking me out.
