Look at how this tiny studio's spaces are defined not by walls but by storage. Precisely-crafted millwork carves an entry, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom from the limited space of this East Village studio. The result is plenty of storage and a feeling of openness:
The compact kitchen is full of cabinets and the stairs up to the sleeping loft double as dresser drawers. With all of this storage stashed away, the main space of the apartment is freed up for being open and light.
