With the post about creating book planters for succulents popping up in the top five again, I thought I'd share another out-of-the-box succulent planter. This time, using simple bricks…
The folks at ReadyMade put together a little tutorial for creating your own brick succulent planter. They suggest drilling holes into reclaimed bricks but you could also try to find bricks that already have two holes in them.
I love the look having a succulent and and a tea light in the brick — which has me thinking that maybe I could skip the succulent all together and create brick candle holders!

I like these better than the book idea. It looks much more natural and will hold up longer.
LOL we will never forget the succulents in books - never! But this one doesn't do it for me - oh well.
Will definitely have to poach some of the bricks earmarked for a new path in my garden to try this idea with some of our flameless candles.
So simple, so easy, so much potential!!!
Why don't I ever come up with things like these!!??
