I'm not sure it's a trend. :) I had red folding chairs for kitchen chairs about 30 years ago in an almost all white kitchen. Loved the look then and now.
Yes. Best of all, love the mismatched dining chairs united by a unifying color.
I always repeat a color in at least three places around a room. It keeps your eye moving through the space and helps to unify different parts of the room. In my current living room. I am using red, gold and black with small accents of a moss green. Don't be afraid to use your favorite colors together in a room.
