In just one month this past Summer, Laurel was anticipating at least ten birthdays that required presents. With 3 kids and a busy social calendar, she set out to create an easy (and minimal) DIY gift wrap station.
Hooks and inexpensive dowel rods painted white from Home Depot hold the wrapping paper in place. A roll of twine sits on each hook making the task of wrapping presents effortless.

We also love Laurel's choice for wrapping paper. Keeping it simple with brown and white allows you to get creative with the finishing touches.

Love this! Once you have a school age child you are literally going to at least one party per weekend, upwards of three. The only thing I would add is an additional shelf up above to stack the awesome books you plan to give as gifts!!
I'm sorry. I just find the whole concept of a gift wrap station so cringe-inducing. I'd hate to have to explain it to someone in a developing nation.
Love the wrapping station - hate the poorly punctuated saying on blocks sitting on the windowsill. A dab of white paint would fix that baby right up!
actually, this would be a good idea for my massive bulk roll of cling wrap. could also be used for other things-on-rolls like baking paper, tin foil or trash bags.
A small station like this isn't cringe-inducing, but this is vomit-inducing: Candy Spelling's (Aaron Spelling's widow) ridiculous home, complete with THREE gift-wrapping rooms
An excerpt:
"Spelling has three gift-wrapping rooms in the home, including the smallest for everyday gifts (pictured)"
I have something like this. It's a dowel suspended between two C-clamps on the underside of a shelf. It's handy! And because the clamps are removable, I can take it down when the wrapping is done and use the parts for other projects.
