All kinds of things are blooming and sprouting in our neighborhood. A great way to get kids to take a closer look at nature is to set up a scavenger hunt. To set up a hunt for the pre-reading set do as Cheri did and make a photo-based hunt.
Cheri took photos of things in her backyard for the young hunter to find and then put the photos together in a collage. Just print and adhere to an empty egg carton and you've got a nifty storage container for all your finds. For more photos and details of how Cheri made this, check out her blog I Am Momma - Hear Me Roar.

I love this idea! What a great blog.
Genius!
Fantastic! We might be using this at my little one's b-day party if the kids have a hard time warming up. A big thanks to Cheri for the idea!
I love it !
