San Francisco's own Chronicle Books recently published a revised and updated version of ecoDesign: The Sourcebook. Alastair Fuad-Luke, a sustainable design facilitator, lecturer, and writer, has compiled an extensive list (352 pages worth) of products that have a minimal impact on the earth while remaining useful and beautiful. It's the ultimate resource for design groupies (and if you read AT, we assume you fall into that category) who are also interested in environmental issues. ecoDesign: The Sourcebook describes over 700 products in detailed, illustrated entries. Items include everything from furniture to electronics to appliances, both classics and little-known gems. The book also includes a reference section with information on manufacturers, design studios, green organizations, and eco strategies.
