Dog beds are important pieces of furniture to our four legged friends and, truth be told, most of them aren't exactly hip or stylish and heaven help you if you want one that falls in that category that's eco-friendly as well. There might be a few contenders, but none really have this much color or style.
• Over the years I've made note of my support for Molly Mutt pet beds. My two dogs love them and they've made a few appearances in house tours. It's hard to beat something handmade with love! Prices range from $20 - 45 for most of the doggie duvets.
• Although putting a bird on something is the new mock-worthy trend, monkeys have long since been the go-to animal for many. They're still holding strong and that's a good thing for the folks over at Paul Frank. Their new line of dog beds (available at Funny Fur)include 3 different options all retailing at $110 or $130 depending on the size of bed you are looking at. Each bed is filled with recycled plastic bottle filler and has a non-skid bottom to keep your pooch from sliding around while nesting to find just the right spot.
• Adrienne recently blogged about See Scout Sleep. Made from a hemp fabric and screen printed with eco-friendly water-based inks, they are made in New Orleans and give ten percent of their profits back to the community through the Gulf Coast Fund. Prices range from $130 - 240, depending on size. Good looking and nature loving!

My dog has that exact dog bed (more like a doggy duvet). I ordered it from amazon and stuffed his old blanket inside.
I have a couple beds from greenerpup.com. They have a wide selection of nice fabrics to choose from, and they are made of recycled materials. They're really beautiful, comfy, and totally washable. Plus, ALL of the profits go towards rescuing shelter dogs. Highly recommend!
We use Crypton fabric dog beds. They're a bit pricey but totally waterproof (fantastic for potty-training puppies) and pretty much never need replacing as long as your dog doesn't have a thing for upholstery. The fabric and cleaning products are safe and the company is committed to being greener and greener, even though they're kind of vague about it on their website. Though the beds aren't made of recycled materials or anything, I feel like the longevity you get out of the product makes it a pretty environmentally responsible purchase, especially considering how many dog beds we personally went through before these (we are even considering a Crypton-upholstered couch because we're so in love with the fabric).
I really like my Crypton dog beds too, I have two of them. I also use to like the old LL Bean Dog beds but when they changed them a few years ago they were vastly inferior to their old design.
Also, I had couch cushion covers made in crypton fabric because i thought it would protect the fabric underneath while my kids were young and my dogs sat on them. basically, so if i ever have a party or something i can remove them and the couch can be all one color.
